Take a boat ride to see dolphins and whales and many other sea creatures. Or for those who prefer to stay on land, visit one of the many game parks in the area. There is the Elephant Sanctuary where you can interact with the elephants or visit the Plettenberg Bay Game Reserve. Stop in at Monkeyland where the primates roam freely in their natural habitat. Birds of Eden is a free-flight aviary where birds from all over the world can fly freely. Set in an indigenous forest, this sanctuary is the largest in the world. Stroll around slowly and view these spectacular birds in their natural environment.
The Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre is home to a number of different wildcats including cheetah and leopard. Go on a stroll through the Tsitsikamma Forest with the cheetahs – an unforgettable experience!
The night life in Plettenberg Bay is lively but very casual. There are a number of beach bars and also some clubs and bars with live music and dancing.
There are many types of accommodation available in Plettenberg Bay including hotels, Self Catering, bed & Breakfast and guest houses. A wide choice of restaurants is available to suit everybody’s tastes.
